THE BOARD CONNECTION
The POA board is working to complete a budget for presentation and board vote at the November 18th Board Meeting. Copies will be available to residents at the Lodge beginning November 13.
Among items recommended for new budget are shade shelter for the Bocce court, rescreening areas at the TC and Lodge, as well as palm tree replacement on Cadillac islands and at entrance.
A vote was taken at the board meeting to reduce the Maintenance Coordinator position from 30 hrs weekly to 18 hrs weekly. Vote was a 4-4 tie. Will be brought back for reconsideration.
The association is purchasing a new stove for the Lodge kitchen. Informal consensus of those attending the board meeting was to purchase one with a solid top both for cleaning purposes and to match current stove more closely.
The board is still in the process of determining responsibility for swale clean out and leveling. The issue is whether to consider this a matter for individual homeowners to finance or the board to pay as part of maintenance of drainage system.
A new State of FL tie down program grant of 2.5 million dollars was passed on October 1. Association is reviewing program application requirements and will apply for inclusion.
All residents are urged to take part in the upcoming election. Voting is available by absentee voting, early voting, or voting on Election Day at our precinct at the Lodge
